Pamela and Howard
Howard is a founding partner of Williams, Young, LLC which merged with Wipfli, LLP a few years ago. He travels around the country conducting training sessions for grant funded non-profit organizations.

I (Pamela) am a former computer programmer and systems analyst who decided to stay at home to raise the children. While at home I've done computer consulting work, but mostly have been taking care of the family and our home.

Howard's Hobbies
Howard's hobbies are American Flyer Trains and collecting Phantom memorabilia.

The Phantom items he collects are not from Phantom of the Opera, but rather the comic book character The Phantom, which he read as a child growing up in Kenosha. His persuit of Phantom memorabilia has found him many new friends around the world. While Spiderman and Superman are popular in the United States, The Phantom is more popular overseas. Every May in New York City, grown men gather from as far away as Australia to have lunch at Sardis Restaurant , talk about the Phantom and exhange momentos. To the right is a drawing from one of the artists who regularly attends the Phantom lunches, Sy Barry. Sy was a Phantom artist for King Features for many years.

As a young boy Howard received an American Flyer train set for Christmas, which he still has to this day. He still collects American Flyer trains and always has a train running across the back of his credenza in his office at Wipfli.

Pamela's Hobbies
My hobbies are playing viola, rubber stamping, cake decorating, leatherwork, making soap, gardening, studying medicine, setting up websites, punchneedle, counted cross stitch...

Learning to decorate cakes is easy and it's a fun hobby. Here are a few of the cakes I've made over the years. The first cake I made was for James' first birthday.

This is a photo of the UW Madison Extension Chamber group before a Christmas concert at Middleton Village. Twice a year we play concerts after rehearsing the music during the semester. The conductor of the group is Nancy Kurr. I've been with this group for over five years. The size of the group and the members change over the years. Not everyone in the group can always make it to the concerts.
I play viola in the group. A few times when I first joined there was another violist, but for the last several years I've been the only one playing viola. We usually have six to twelve violins and two to six cellos. I take weekly private viola lessons with Diedre Buckely, who plays in the Madison Symphony Orchestra. She's very patient as I'm a slow learner. I also play clarinet, piano, guitar, flute and ukulele from time to time. Viola is by far the hardest of any musical instrument I've learned to play.
